HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THAT NAME?
This is the number one question asked. My sister-in-law, Jen, has always wanted a gift store named the Flannel Frog. As I was investigating opening a quilt store, she graciously offered her name to us. I didn't want to take the name but asked if she could think of another for the store. Within 30 seconds Jen announced "how about the Patchwork Pig?" Well, it stuck and the store was born.
The Pig (as called by locals) houses over 3,500 bolts of 100% cotton and flannel. We stock everything from Brights, Batiks, 30's Reproduction, Civil War, Thimbleberries, Wool and much more in between. Books and patterns to get you started, fabrics to create masterpieces and notions to help you along your way.
Our staff consists of over 130 years of quilting experience. We strive to keep the spirit of quilting alive. Every staff member has a niche in the quilting world and we love to share experiences and knowledge with anyone willing to listen. From redwork and hand techniques including wool applique to gorgeous custom quilting, our staff has it all. We all enjoy teaching and helping new and seasoned quilters take on new projects or just finish an older UFO.
DESIGNERS AND TEACHERS
Patchwork Pig is also home to National Designers Jane Wilson and Connie Nordstrom. We have a bonus as Jane and Connie teach classes in the store as well as provide input to the business. Award winning quilters' capture ribbons and recognition using the building blocks provided at the Pig.LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
